The boundaries between Engineers, Physicists, Mathematicians and Computer Scientists are becoming ever more indistinguishable. We are at the brink of the 4th Industrial Revolution and entering an age of intelligent machines. It is predicted that by 2025 one third of jobs will be replaced by robots. One source claims that 65% of students entering primary education will be working in jobs that don’t yet exist! The landscape of work is undergoing a radical transformation and students need to be fireproofed against the rate of technical change. At the same time the U.K. faces a national skills shortage related to STEM.
iSTEAM Expo 2020 is our most flexible course giving students exposure to almost the entire range of projects offered by iSTEAM Workshops. It is suitable for students from Year 6 - Year 13 and is our recommended first course. The course includes guest workshops delivered by professors from Cambridge University Engineering Department and Imperial College London as well as members of industry.
Whether it’s Rocket Science, Computer Science, Practical Circuits, Robotics, Engineering, Computer Vision or Machine Learning - this course has it all. Further, students attending will be the first to enjoy our latest tranche of exciting new projects not yet advertised.
